Each week on “Whatcha Packin’,” Michelle Visage interviews the recently eliminated queen and shows us some of the runway looks they didn’t get the chance to use on the show. Following her episode 4 elimination, Mirage shares her thoughts on the value of “getting back up” after falling in pleasers and failing on the show. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube. In her interview with Michelle, Mirage explained the emotion she displayed when she was eliminated, calling it “a release” of everything that was built up to get on the show. Michelle showered Mirage with praise as a performer, especially as a contrast to how she presents out of drag and because of the “vogue femme” aspects of her dancing and heel clacking skills. Mirage shared that she is the sister of Anetra and has also worked with a lot of Ru girls now that they’re coming to Las Vegas more often for their careers. From the dresses that she didn’t get to wear on the show, Mirage showed Michelle a flamingo one made by Alexis Mateo and a leopard print gown that was inspired by the house she grew up in with her mom. When Mirage told Michelle that she’d love to be asked to be part of the Vegas show, Michelle agreed that she’s the type of artist that would be absolutely perfect to join the revue. Michelle referred to Mirage as “really magical” and says that when she performs she cannot take her eyes off of her.
