The Raiders seem to be heavily invested in finding a new quarterback, but the defense is important t0o. One could even argue that Josh McDaniels focusing too much on the QB situation and not enough on the other side of the ball. Unfortunately for the Raiders, doing this will likely mean another turbulent season with no real change.
This is the same defense that finished 24th in stopping the pass and 14th in rushing. If they could just focus on getting to QB more and create turnovers, they could be a playoff team. Creating this defense is going to require a lot of big moves, but it will be worth it if the team comes together.
Think about it! How many times did the Raiders gain a big lead in the first half, only to give it up? The opposing offense always seemed to decode the defensive scheme and find holes.
Kyle Busch’s biggest problem in 2022 has to be that he had a chance to close out several races, but failed to do so. The Las Vegas native instead racked up a total of seven DNFs, which did not help his championship hopes. What really really screwed him over was his inability to win!
For example, he led 49 laps during last year’s spring Las Vegas race but got shuffled back to seventh. He also led 21 laps at Atlanta before getting caught up in a wreck that ruined his day Things only get worse for Busch, including a blown engine while leading at Darlington and a seventh-place finish after leading over 100 laps at Dover.
Now that Busch is at RCR, hopefully, he can put these issues behind him. Maybe this will be his chance to start over and regain some of that trademark consistency. He has proven time and time again that he has the equipment to win races. The question is whether he can get that killer instinct back.
The Las Vegas Golden Knights are likely on their way to the postseason, but that might not last long. The sad truth is that Las Vegas won’t get very far with a 14th-ranked offense and an 18th-place ranking in power play point percentages.
They just aren’t effective at capitalizing on power plays, and it’s going to hurt them as the postseason goes on. Now, this doesn’t mean Las Vegas won’t put up a good fight, but a good defense can only go so far. They are going to have to confront the offense problem sooner or later. Coach Bruce Cassidy might even want to look at the trade deadline to find more offense-based pieces.
The Las Vegas Aces have a lot to do to fix their struggling reputation. Former player Dearica Hamby accused the team of bullying and manipulating her after she expressed a desire to have a baby.
The Las Vegas Aces are supposed to be a feminist organization, which makes these accusations very jarring. The team needs to do right by Dearica Hamby and fully cooperate with the investigation. Accountability matters if these accusations are true.
