U2 Says “Thank You, Las Vegas” with Video Message After Wrap of Epic Sphere Residency - Rock Cellar Magazine

New songs from your favorite artists come out all the time — and we preview them down below! This past weekend, U2 played its 40th and final show of the band’s residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, an epic sendoff to what’s been an incredible show. After the U2: UV Achtung Baby residency began back in October 2023, buzz was so strong that more shows continued to be added to the initial schedule, wrapping with an eventful sendoff on March 2 that featured an excited Dave Grohl in the balcony, singing his heart out to the euphoric “Beautiful Day,” glass of white wine in hand: Dave Grohl @foofighters in complete rock fan boy mode supporting @U2’s final night is a total mood @SphereVegas 🤘🎸☮️ #U2UVSphere #U2 #FooFighters 🙌 Video: Chris Carey / U2 at the Sphere pic.twitter.com/KCCaRavwQq — Ellen Houlihan (@elliehoulie) March 3, 2024 Following the final show, U2 sent out a thank you message to fans, the Sphere staff and those who helped make this state-of-the-art production come to life. Also set to “Beautiful Day,” it was shared to the masses this week: “It’s been 40 days and 40 nights in the desert,” joked Bono from the stage toward the end of the final performance. “What’s a fellow with a messianic complex going to do?” The full set list from U2’s final Vegas gig of this marathon run: Achtung Baby Zoo Station The Fly Even Better Than the Real Thing Mysterious Ways One (with Daniel Lanois) Until the End of the World Who’s Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses Tryin’ to Throw Your Arms Around the World Turntable All I Want Is You Desire Angel of Harlem Don’t Dream It’s Over (Crowded House cover) (a duet with Neil Finn) Achtung Baby Acrobat So Cruel Ultraviolet (Light My Way) Love Is Blindness Viva Las Vegas (Elvis Presley song) Elevation Remix Encore: Elevation Atomic City Vertigo Where the Streets Have No Name With or Without You Beautiful Day U2:UV Achtung Baby, Live at Sphere.
