A giant glowing ball of LED lights, known as the ‘Sphere,’ has quickly become the most-viral entertainment venue in history. Social media is captivated by every new update that comes out of Las Vegas and the most recent display is not the exception! The Sphere turned itself into a massive lava lamp shortly after the sun went down on Thanksgiving. The transformation seemed long overdue, because it was a no-brainer. Even though it took five months for someone to finally get the memo, the visual display was worth the wait. It was awesome! 580,000 square feet of glowing lights turned the Sphere’s exosphere into some serious 90s nostalgia. It is coated with a 16K LED display. Nearly 1.2 million LED pucks make up the display. They are spaced eight inches apart. Each puck contains 38 LED diodes. Each diode can display 256 million colors. No matter what the Sphere puts on the exosphere, even if it’s an advertisement, the graphics are mind-blowing! The lava lamp looked exactly like the one that you had in your room as a kid. The Sphere also pulled a cool move for Thanksgiving. Sphere employees had their children make turkeys with their hands, as is tradition for youngin’s in late November. Parents often display their child’s artwork on the refrigerator during the holiday. The Sphere took that to the next level and lit up the hand turkeys on the exosphere! How cool is that?! Those kids will forever have a video of their art being displayed on what will go down as the most revolutionary venue of the early 2000s. They have the ultimate trump card when one of their friends tries to brag about their painting on the fridge or mantel. “Yeah, well, mine was seen by millions of people on the Sphere in Las Vegas, so.”
