There are a lot of trade rumors surrounding Las Vegas sports athletes in 2023, and they have major implications. Seriously, the loss of any of the below athletes could be the difference between making the postseason and missing out on another championship. Here are five trade rumors you need to know.
Davantae Adams is a critical part of the Las Vegas Raiders, and his leaving is a worst-case scenario. Unfortunately, there are sources claiming that Adams wants out even though his quarterback is now cleared to play. If true, this is absolutely devastating for the Las Vegas Raiders right out of the gate.
According to Fox Sports 1s Craig Carton, Adams wants out of Las Vegas to go to the Jets. This puts him back with Aaron Rodgers, who he has played with for over a decade. That part of the rumor seems to check out, but it still doesn’t give people a reason.
One can only imagine what this man sees in training camp to make him want out so early. Maybe it’s the Joshua Jacobs situation and the fact that Las Vegas doesn’t reward their successful players.
Noah Gragson is having a pretty rough rookie season in the NASCAR Cup Series and struggling to make any progress. He currently sits 33rd in points, with an average finish of 28.3. The Las Vegas native also has no wins, top-fives, or top-tens in 22 races this season.
According to Jordan Bianchi of The Athletic, Legacy Motorsports’ impending move to Toyota at the end of the season means that John Hunter Nemechek will get tapped to drive the car. The move might end up moving Gragson back down to the Xfinity Series or in a less lucrative ride at the Cup level.
Gragson’s recent suspension isn’t helping matters.
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Hunter Renfrow is currently experiencing a special kind of hell. Not only is that evident by his name constantly coming up in trade talks, but also due to injury issues. This is a critical year for this young man, and he needs to take advantage of it. Unfortunately for Renfrow, he has a lot working against him. The Raiders acquired Michael Mayer, Jakobi Meyers, and several others this offseason.
Robin Lehner sat out the entire 2022-23 season after hip surgery and now faces an uncertain future. Lehner has made headlines despite being injured, including allegations of him filing for bankruptcy. He is also 32ands taking up cap space for the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
The Golden Knights have already re-signed Adin Hill and haven’t decided on Logan Thompson yet. That means Lehner could be on his way out or even traded. One analyst has the goalie going to the New Jersey Devils in a pretty interesting trade.
According to Jonathon Bailey of Fansided: “Aside from the bizarre fraud charges he’s facing in a bankruptcy case, Lehner is also recovering from the hip surgery that wiped out his 2022-23 season. The Golden Knights would probably like to shed some money, and the soon-to-be-32-year-old Robin Lehner could be a high-upside play for a team like the New Jersey Devils.”
Joshua Jacobs is the defending league rushing leader in the NFL, but he isn’t being treated like it. Instead, the Las Vegas Raiders want him to sign a one-year $10.1 million franchise tag deal. Jacobs is expressing a desire for a longer-term deal, however.
Joshua Jacobs is coming up in trade rumors that have him going pretty much anywhere. CBS Sports looked at the five best destinations for Jacobs, and the choices are wild. One is Philadelphia Eagles. The rest of the list includes the Dolphins, the Broncos, and the Bears.
