Dead & Company previously completed its “final tour” in July 2023. The group consists of former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir and Mickey Hart, along with John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti. Bill Kreutzmann was also a member of the band but did not take part in the final tour. Dead Forever will kick off May 16 and run through June 22. The residency will feature “never-before-seen visual storytelling from Dead & Company, providing fans with the ultimate connection to the music through these innovative and immersive shows.” “In 2023, Dead & Company played their final tour. But there are other ways to make sure the music never stops. And it’s gonna be a ball,” the group said in a post on Instagram. The Sphere, a sphere-shaped venue featuring next-generation technologies, opened in September. Rock band Phish also has an upcoming residency at the Sphere that begins in April.
