All 52 Names Engraved On The 2023 Stanley Cup From The Vegas Golden Knights

The Vegas Golden Knights have officially been immortalized on the Stanley Cup. For the first time ever, the names of the Golden Knights were engraved before each member of the team got their “day with the Cup.”

Here’s a rundown of al 52 names that were engraved.

Executives

Bill Foley – Owner

The man that brought the team to Las Vegas and made the prophecy that his team would bring the Cup home in six years. Affectionately known on this website as “The Creator.”

Robert Foley – Chief Business Officer

Son of the owner and part of the organization since before the team was awarded. His current official title is Chief Business Officer but has held multiple positions over the course of the previous six seasons.

George McPhee – President of Hockey Operations

The first general manager of the franchise and the first hockey hire after the team was awarded. Was promoted to the newly created President of Hockey Operations position in 2019 when the team elected to promote Kelly McCrimmon to GM.

Kelly McCrimmon – General Manager

Initially the assistant general manager, took the reins as the general manager in 2019. Hired in August of 2016, has been involved in every personnel decision the organization has made since the beginning.

Bruce Cassidy – Head Coach

The Golden Knights’ third head coach, was hired in June 2022.

John Stevens – Assistant Coach

Assistant coach hired following the appointment of Cassidy. Formerly the head coach of the Los Angeles Kings wherek he was also a Cup winning assistant multiple times. This is the third time his name has been engraved on the Cup.

Ryan Craig – Assistant Coach

One of two coaches to be with the team since Year 1. Craig was hired as an assistant to work with Gerard Gallant. He continued on staff with Pete DeBoer and Bruce Cassidy. Following the Cup winning season he became the head coach of the AHL’s Henderson Silver Knights.

Sean Burke – Director of Goaltending

A former NHL goalie who played more than 800 games finished his career and became an executive. He’s worked many positions with multiple teams and Team Canada. He was hired by the Golden Knights in 2022, previously in the same position with the Montreal Canadiens.

Misha Donskov – Assistant Coach

Among the first hires in franchise history, Donskov signed on with the Golden Knights in August 2016. He’s worked both in the front office and as a coach over the six seasons.

Dave Rogowski – Video Coach

An unsung hero of the team both for his work to help the team prepare but also during games assisting the coaching staff in when to challenge goals. Has posted a sterling record on video reviews including going undefeated over an entire season. Hired by the Golden Knights in 2021 with the arrival of DeBoer.

Kyle Moore – Associate Head Athletic Trainer

Has been with the team in this position since June of 2017. Typically the first person over the boards to tend to injured players on the ice.

Mike Muir – Assistant Athletic Trainer

A member of the Golden Knights’ training staff since Year 1. Previously spent 11 years with the Log Angeles Kings minor league affiliates.

Raul Dorantes – Manual Therapist

The team’s massage therapist focusing in player performance enhancement, rehabilitation and injury prevention. Also, elite softball player who dazzles yearly at the Reilly Smith charity game.

Doug Davidson – Strength and Conditioning Coach

Hired in 2017 prior to the team’s first game, Davidson is responsible for maximizing the athletic potential of players through the development, instruction, progression, oversight and documentation of individual and group performance enhancements and recovery training activities.

Aaron Heishman – Head of Sport Science and Reconditioning

Uses data to help the medical and performance staff keep players at optimal health and avoid injuries.

Chris Davidson-Adams – Head Equipment Manager

Known by his nickname, Critter, has been in this position since Year 1. Meticulously works with player equipment, skate sharpening, transportation, purchasing and inventory. Hired in 2017 and has worked more than 1,500 professional hockey games.

JW Aiken – Assistant Equipment Manager

Right hand man to Davidson-Adams and the stick man on the bench. When a player needs a new stick during Aiken is the one to grab it and save the day (as evidenced by his assist in the Stanley Cup Final).

Rick Braunstein – Director of Team Services

Hired in May 2017, “Bronco” is in control of everything involving the team’s travel. From flights to hotels to meals and beyond, Braunstein is the man.

Katy Headman Boettinger – Director of Hockey Administration

Borrowing directly from her words in an interview, her role is to “support the president and general manager, handle all immigration for the club, serve as liaison for players and their families, related duties as assigned.”

Vaughn Karpan – Director of Player Personnel

In charge of pro scouting. Has his eyes on NHL and AHL players the Golden Knights should target via trade, free agency, waivers etc. With team since Year 1.

Bob Lowes – Assistant Director of Player Personnel

Hired to be the assistant to Karpan in September 2016, Lowes also works with the amatuer scouting statt to help give an overview of the direction of the Golden Knights’ roster. Crucial figure in the NHL Draft.

Scott Luce – Director of Amateur Scouting

Oversees all things regarding amatuer scouting. Obviously crucial for the Draft but also in looking at prospects the Golden Knights should keep tabs on.

Andrew Lugerner, Director of Hockey Legal Affairs

The Golden Knights’ capologist, he’s the keeper of the salary cap. In addition as the legal representative of the team he’s heavily involved in contract negotiations and CBA issues. With the team since Year 1.

Wil Nichol – Director of Player Development

Among the team’s first hires, Nichol is the keeper of the kids. His role involves organizing Development Camp as well as constantly checking in on the team’s prospects throughout the season.

Tom Poraszka – Director of Hockey Operations

Left his position running the salary cap website GeneralFanager to become the king of analytics for the Golden Knights. Hired in 2017.
