Hidden bars, lounges, and speakeasies have been all the rage in Las Vegas for years. It seems nearly impossible to find a new venue inside Las Vegas casinos on the Strip that doesn’t have some kind of secret place to grab a cocktail.
This isn’t exactly a new trend. They’re easy to find for those active on social media since visitors share videos and pictures on TikTok, Instagram, etc.
These intimate spaces can be great fun but may also be extremely crowded because they’re so small. Most of the hidden bars and lounges have room for fewer than a hundred people.
While the busy venues lead one to believe that many people are aware hidden bars exist, that’s not quite true. Many visitors who aren’t as plugged into social media have no idea. This is also part of what makes them so special.
We’ll focus on hidden bars, lounges, and speakeasies inside casinos on the Vegas Strip. However, there are more scattered throughout the Las Vegas valley. Part of the fun is finding these unique venues on your own so we won’t share every location.
Even before hidden bars and lounges became popular, The Cosmopolitan had its hidden venue. When the property opened in 2010, few were aware it had a pizza shop.
13 years later and “Secret Pizza” is still an unmarked pizza shop that some visitors don’t know about. It’s located on the third level of the Las Vegas casino down an unmarked hallway with vinyl records on the wall and ceiling.
The Cosmopolitan has five more hidden venues today.
Here Kitty Kitty Vice Den is located behind a hidden door at a retail store in the Resorts World Famous Foods quick-serve dining area. The shopkeeper will whisk guests a few steps behind the door into the small and dark speakeasy that’s inspired by the Prohibition Era with an Asian twist.
The service is great and the signature cocktails are delicious. The vibe here is unlike any other venue inside Resorts World. The lounge opens at 3 pm on weekends and 4:30 pm on weekdays.
The Lock is a hidden bar inside The Cabinet of Curiosities at Horseshoe Las Vegas (formerly Bally’s). This unique bar is located on the lower level of the Las Vegas casino with a handful of other venues including an arcade.
This bar stands out from everything else at Horseshoe but it’s a front for a small hidden lounge called The Lock. Look for the bank vault door and a locksmith will assist with your entry.
As with most hidden bars, check out the signature cocktails. These are the drinks secret bars hang their hats on. The Lock opens at 4 pm daily.
Easy’s Cocktail Lounge is located behind the donut and coffee shop with the same name at Aria’s Proper Food Hall on the second level of the property. This hidden lounge might be easy to find since the second floor at Aria is mostly restaurants and conference space.
There will likely be a line to get into Easy’s Cocktail Lounge. There’s only seating for 50 people. Altogether, the room only has space for a total of 75 people.
Additionally, there may be live music to go along with signature cocktails. Easy’s Cocktail Lounge is open Thursday through Monday at 6 pm.
1923 Prohibition Bar is located on the second level of Mandalay Place. This is a shopping area between Mandalay Bay and Luxor.
This bar is in a new location from the original space under the escalator at the Mandalay Bay entrance. The new space is located behind a bookshelf next to the Minus 5 ice bar. This is much of a secret anymore as there’s a sign that some may notice.
The prohibition-era Roarin’ 20s-style bar considers itself to be “bourbon-centric.” The bar closes often for private parties and offers whiskey tastings for the groups.
In addition to bourbon and cocktails, the bar has entertainment that may include a pianist or burlesque dancers. There’s also a not-so-secret magic show. 1923 Prohibition Bar opens daily at 11 am.
The Parlor Room is a secret bar located in the back of Bavette’s Steakhouse inside Park MGM. Most guests eating inside the restaurant don’t even know it exists.
Unlike most hidden bars and lounges, this isn’t behind a secret door. Just head to the back of the restaurant and make a right turn and you’re in.
The Parlor fits Bavette’s existing design aesthetic, which has a modern speakeasy vibe. The bar is only open during weekends and when there are special events at Park MGM or neighboring T-Mobile Arena.
On The Record is the nightclub at Park MGM. However, this multi-room venue isn’t a traditional club just for dancing the night away.
The multi-room space has a hidden room called the Vinyl Parlor. The small space inside On The Record has vintage vinyl records on display. Guests can sometimes grab a record for a DJ to spin.
The vibe here is different from the rest of the club since it plays rock, pop, and rap music from multiple decades. You’re not going to hear Bryan Adams back-to-back with A Tribe Called Quest just anywhere.
The room is a hidden gem inside of a club where most rooms are dedicated to a more traditional modern party vibe. Since this is open to the public and not too much of a secret the small speakeasy can get crowded.
On The Record at Park MGM is open Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 10 pm.
The hidden bars above are all inside a Las Vegas casino on The Strip. The trend has been so popular over the years that several hidden bars have popped up throughout the Las Vegas valley. Here are a few more hidden bars elsewhere around town for anyone looking for a change of pace.
Visitors can head to downtown Las Vegas where they’ll find The Laundry Room at Commonwealth bar or The Underground at the Mob Museum.
Head just east of the Vegas Strip to Màs Por Favor Taqueria y Tequila. This low-key taco shop has a bar hidden down a hall behind a secret door.
Gatsby’s Supper Club is a full-service restaurant in Henderson is about 20 minutes away from the Vegas Strip. You’ll need a password to enter the hidden mezcal and tequila speakeasy.
