Man Says He Was Stung In Testicles By Scorpion At Vegas Resort

Lest you were creeped out by the presence of bed bugs at certain Las Vegas resorts, 8NewsNow reports that a California man is considering legal action after he was allegedly stung in the testicles by a scorpion at the Venetian. “I just felt like somebody stabbing me in my private area,” Michael Farchi said of the unfortunate sensation. “It felt like a sharp glass or a knife.” Upon further investigation, Farchi went to the restroom, where he observed “a scorpion hanging on my underwear.” The alleged incident took place on Dec. 26, and 8NewsNow reports that the Venetian comped Farchi’s room when he and his family checked out the following day. A source of trauma In an incident report filed with the Venetian, Farchi said he was “bitten by a scorpion on my groin/testicles” around 8 a.m. on the 26th. He said the scorpion was “in the bed” when he was sleeping and claims to have been diagnosed with a scorpion sting at a local hospital following the painful incident. When reached for comment by 8NewsNow, Venetian officials said, “the resort has protocols for all incidents and we can confirm they were followed in this incident.” Meanwhile, Farchi’s attorney says the alleged scorpion sting has been a source of trauma for his client and that they’re considering legal action against the Venetian.
