These 9 Las Vegas Family Resorts Are a Hit with the Whole Family!

(This article may or may not contain affiliate links. What does that mean?) Sin City might not be the first place parents think of as a family-friendly vacation destination. With casinos and half-naked people walking around carrying booze, not every family is going to want to spend their time wandering the Las Vegas Strip. However, Las Vegas is magical. Parents may know about the fantasy-like experiences tailored for their age group, but they might not know about the wholesome fun these Las Vegas family resorts have created for their kids. Here’s the plan: During the day, have a blast with the kids, enjoying family-friendly activities. Then, order room service, get a sitter (or have an older sibling watch the younger ones), and let the adults explore all the other things Las Vegas does well. Here are our 9 favorite Las Vegas family resorts to make everyone’s Vegas dreams come true! Contents hide NO TIME TO ENJOY THIS ARTICLE NOW? BOOKMARK IT OR PIN IT FOR LATER! Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino Located just south of the Las Vegas Strip, Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino is within walking distance of all the action but also much calmer than other hotels. The guest rooms are comfy with 2-bedroom options for families and floor-to-ceiling windows. Mandalay Bay distinguishes itself from other family-friendly Vegas hotels with the impressive Shark Reef Aquarium, where guests can view around 2,000 sea animals. Afterward, kids can splash in the 11-acre pool, lazy river, or wave pool! Mandalay Bay also has sandy beaches – something visitors won’t find at other resorts! Or, take advantage of the free trams that run along different areas of the Strip. Hop on the tram after the aquarium and visit the Titanic and Bodies exhibits at the Luxor, followed by the Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur. Another free Las Vegas tram lets families check out the Secret Garden & Dolphin Habitat and the volcanic eruption at the Mirage before dropping the kiddos off at KidsQuest at Treasure Island while parents check out the casino. Bellagio Hotel & Casino The Bellagio Hotel & Casino is one of the more luxurious options on the list, and it may not be the first place visitors think of as a kid-friendly hotel. However, the Bellagio brings a good balance of luxury for parents and fun for the kids. In each room, guests will find a bathroom with a large soaking tub and glass shower, plush robes, and a stocked mini-bar. This is another place you can hop on the free tram to explore with stops at the Aria and Park MGM- it’s great for shopping enthusiasts because of the stop at The Shops at Crystal – a 500,000 square foot mall full of art galleries, gourmet food, and high-end shops and boutiques. For entertainment, the Bellagio is known for its impressive water fountains that shoot water up to 460 feet in the air, and the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, a 14,000-square-foot tropical garden. The whimsically crafted Conservatory & Botanical Gardens are redesigned seasonally. Guests can learn more about current and past installations here. The Bellagio is also home to O – a Cirque de Soleil show where acrobats perform all around, under, and above water.  DON’T MISS! For Family Fun, Here Are The 5 Best Pools In Las Vegas For Kids Signature MGM Grand The Signature at MGM Grand has an impressive pool area spanning 6 ½ acres with features including four swimming pools, waterfalls, three whirlpools, and even a lazy river. The rooms are also great for families with an optional crib, suites for families of 5+, and free wifi. MGM also owned the Circus Circus Hotel before it changed hands in 2018. While it didn’t make our list because of its history of not being the cleanest hotel, new management might have changed that. Circus Circus’s best feature is the Adventure Dome – an indoor amusement park that will keep families entertained for hours. Visitors can also enjoy a free circus show, try to win prizes at the Midway Games, and get wet at the outdoor waterpark. For families that want to enjoy the fun of Circus Circus while staying at the Signature, there is a shuttle that connects the two properties. Hilton Vacation Club Cancun Resort The Hilton Vacation Club Cancun Resort takes families on an adventure even without setting foot on the Strip (but it’s close enough when you want to!). This Cancun-themed resort has fun for kids (and adults) of all ages, and its water features include several outdoor pools and hot tubs, a pyramid with a cascading waterfall, and not just one water slide but four! Here, families can stay in 1 – or 2-bedroom Villas that have separate bedrooms and bathrooms, functional kitchens, sofabeds, and a flat-screen TV with DVD player. Hilton also owns Hilton Grand Vacations, suites in another quiet location with a fantastic outdoor pool, fully functional kitchens, and a family-friendly vibe. Silverton Casino Lodge The Silverton is another off-the-strip option located about 1 ½ miles away from the Vegas Strip. No worries, night owls, there’s still a 90,000-square-foot casino where adults can enjoy one of Las Vegas’s main attractions – gambling! The biggest feature for families is the impressive 117,000-gallon saltwater aquarium, where visitors can view colorful tropical fish, rays, sharks, and even mermaids! Our family has visited aquariums almost everywhere, so we can confidently endorse this aquarium. There is also live entertainment at the Silverton, just what you’d expect from the Entertainment Capital of the World! DON’T MISS! Top 10 Vacation Spots For Teens in the US Red Rock Casino, Resort, & Spa The Red Rock Resort is a great place to stay when you want to keep the hustle and bustle of the Strip at a distance. Named after the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, this hotel keeps the entire family entertained. Red Rock Canyon NCA is not far from the resort, and the hotel does arrange tours of the area. Plus, a shuttle runs to the Strip for parents who want to be in the thick of it for a bit on their family trip. But if mom or dad is feeling lazy, there’s also an onsite casino and live entertainment. On-site, families will find an IMAX movie theater, a 16-lane bowling alley, and a pool that frequently also has live entertainment. Parents can also take advantage of Kids Quest (not to be confused with Kids Quest at Treasure Island), an adventure-packed area with sports, games, and even a supervised daycare. Our family stayed here for a weekend, and the daycare was a great way for the hubby and me to break away for a few hours and experience the adult side of Las Vegas. New York New York Hotel & Casino The New York New York Hotel & Casino brings the Big Apple to the Strip. This hotel has a central location on the Strip for families that want to have all the action Vegas brings, and many of the rooms have great views of the Strip. One of the can’t-miss features of this hotel is Hershey’s Chocolate World, which offers chocolate tastings and is home to an impressive chocolate carving of the Statue of Liberty that weighs around 800 pounds! Kids will enjoy eating at the kid-friendly restaurants, visiting the arcade, and riding on the Big Apple Roller Coaster (if they’re at least 54” tall). Excalibur Hotel & Casino The Excalibur Hotel & Casino is one of the best hotels for families who want to make their Vegas stay a little more special in a themed hotel. Travel back to medieval times with this castle-themed hotel with an arcade called the “Fun Dungeon.” Kids will also love the “Tournament of Kings,” a dinner show complete with a themed meal and live jousting. Plus, visitors can see the “castle turrets” from the hotel room window, adding to the authentic vibes of this themed hotel. The Excalibur Hotel is also pet-friendly for travelers who love to vacation with their animals! From endless waterparks to mind-blowing kid’s attractions, here are the best 9 Las Vegas resorts families will love! South Point Hotel Casino & Spa Visitors need to drive about 15 minutes to get to the Strip from this budget-conscious, family-friendly resort. But this Las Vegas family resort is spectacular. It has 11 restaurants and six bars. The fitness room has a sauna and steam room, plus there’s a full-service spa.
